Guru Nanak Dev Ji Visited Rome
Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Bhai Mardana DID visit Rome in the 1500’s. Guru Ji and Bhai Mardana gained audience with Pope Benedict XII and discussed the philosophy of slavery and equality. Guru Nanak Dev Ji continued to travel around other parts of Italy on his visit and met many other people. Imagine that our dear Guru met the head of the Christian religion to discuss the universal message. It obviously shows Guru Ji made and impression on many people in a foreign land and that on arriving at the Vatican, the Pope wanted to meet.
